She plays the guitar and the piano well.
It is said in earnest that she began at the age of 12 and so I think that she has practiced quite a lot.
Among her guitar techniques, her slum playing style is cool.

DANCE
Her extremely high dance skill is due to training, which began in childhood.
She is particularly good at hip hop. In the musical in which she starred, she showed various kinds of dance.
Her dance is expressed in a delicate and dynamic way, from her fingertips to her entire body, and then to the movements of her eyes.
She interweaves the static and the dynamic, drawing in and overwhelming the audience.

HISTORY
Now, let’s follow the time series to see the type of artist that RUANN is.
She was born in Osaka on July 21, 2003.
In early childhood she was influenced by Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and others and became interested in music.
- She remembered a few songs that her mother sang before she was born and still in the womb.
- She seems to have been copying songs and dances of overseas artists, who appear on YouTube and elsewhere.

From around the age of seven, she began to practice singing and dancing in earnest.
She soon began to appear at recitals as a key performer.
She also participated in several competitions and won the championship.
At nine to ten years old age, she appeared on television as a young amateur singer.

October 2015 (12 years old)
She was chosen as a solo vocal of the theme song of “Super Kabuki II – One Piece” that was composed by Yujin Kitagawa, a member of Yuzu, which is famous Japanese rock duo. She released a first CD.

<p>In 2015 when RUANN was 12 years of age, she quit a specific entertainment school and she started career as an artist independently. She had started to upload many movies to SNS.</p>

<p>She has practiced playing instruments such as acoustic guitar and piano. And she taught herself such languages as English and Korean.</p>

RUANN said that she uses smartphone applications such as "Hello Talk" to check her pronunciation with that of native foreign language speakers.

In March 2016 at 12 years of age, Ruann travelled to New York following graduation from elementary school.
She did many live performances on the subway platform and on the street, as well as a one-man concert at PROHIBITION, a dance performance at “Amateur Night” at the Apollo Theater, and an appearance on a promotional video for a CNN program called “The Eighties.”

In February 2017, Ruann moved with her family from Osaka to Tokyo.
On March 2017 at 13 years of age, ONE OK ROCK vocal Taka published a post about RUANN on his Instagram account and stated, “She’s so talented!”
One month later, Taka invited her as a guest performer to their concert held at Makuhari Messe.
Every two days, RUANN played two songs without hesitation in front of an audience of about 20,000.

After appearing at the concert of ONE OK ROCK, she participates actively in street performances, music event appearances, and one-man performances.

On June 14, 2017, her first album, “Spice 13 Acoustic EP,” was released digitally. All four songs were written and composed by RUANN.

On October 14 and 15, 2017, she held a first one-man concert.

On December 11, 2017, she changed her artist’s name from “Ruan Ohyama” to “RUANN.”
“I have news for everyone!! My name changes to RUANN!! There is one more letter N!! I am making and recording a lot of songs now, and I have a lot of songs I want to deliver to everyone!! I will release them soon. Please look forward to the new RUANN (^^)”
On January 10, 2018, “GET THE GLORY” was released digitally. This song was written and composed by RUANN and was adopted in the television commercial of Cygames, Inc.

On January 17, 2018, “I AM STANDING” was released digitally. This song was written and composed by RUANN and offered for the song ending of the animation “March Comes in Like a Lion,” which was broadcast on NHK television.

On March 6, 2018, Ruann released her first CD album from private record-label SHIMOKI RUANTA.
RUANN wrote and composed all five songs.

On September 10, 2018, she made a major debut at Toy’s Factory.
The major debut song is “LOVE & HOPE.”

This song was provided as a thema song of the TV drama “Takane & Hana”.
Moreover, it was revealed that the choreography for stages and the MV is performed by the Takahiro who is the choreographer and a world renowned dancer.
On November 9, 2018, she released “There’s No Ending”.
This song was provided as a thema song of the movie “ANEMONE / Psalm of Planets Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution”.
She collaborated with teamLab Borderless to make her music video of this song.

This song was provided for a TV commercial film of Cygames, Inc.

On March 15, 2019, Toy’s Factory announced the suspension of RUANN’s activity for the reason of her health.
On June 19, 2019, RUANN announced the end of the contract with Toy’s Factory.
On July 31, 2019, the new song “BEEP BEEP” was released simultaneously to Japan and Korea. She made her debut in Korea with this song.
The producer of “BEEP BEEP” was B.E.P (Black Eyed Pilseung) and the choreographer was LIA KIM.
On December 5th, 2019, she announced the end of the promotion with Bside Inc.
